About the studio

A studio of gurus. One human with the keys.

ProductGurus is built on a simple observation: modern AI has become genuinely expert in narrow fields. We treat each one like a guru — brilliant, tireless, occasionally overconfident — and put a human product lead in charge of all of them.

The idea

The name isn't an accident. Every product here was shipped by a small council of specialist AIs — one that's a guru at discovery, one at building, one at data, one at selling — orchestrated by a person who decides what's worth doing and what's actually true. The gurus never sleep. The human occasionally does, and that's when the gurus draft.

Six products have come out of this model so far — two production SaaS platforms, three ventures taken through full discovery, and one internal tool that started it all because something at work was broken and nobody else was going to open a spec doc about it.

The roster

Meet the gurus

Six specialists, zero egos, one shared weakness: every one of them needs a human to tell it which problem matters.

01 · Discovery & Requirements

The Discovery Guru

Asks "why" five times in a row and never once makes it awkward. Turns rambling stakeholder interviews into process maps and tight, testable specs.

The human decides: which problems are worth solving in the first place.
02 · Product Development

The Build Guru

Ships serverless apps and AI pipelines at 3 a.m. without coffee, complaints, or a single passive-aggressive commit message.

The human decides: what reaches production. Every line gets reviewed by someone with a pulse.
03 · Data & Validation

The Data Guru

Has strong opinions about your TAM — all of them footnoted. Would rather kill a bad idea on a Tuesday than watch it ship on a Friday.

The human decides: what the numbers actually mean, and when the honest answer is "don't build it."
04 · Go-to-Market

The Pitch Guru

Turns working products into traction — positioning, pitches, and case studies that don't read like they were written by a committee. Because it isn't one.

The human decides: every claim that goes in front of a client. If it's promised, a person promised it.
05 · Design & Experience

The Design Guru

Treats whitespace as a load-bearing feature. Obsesses over contrast ratios, tap targets, and hierarchy — and has never once said "just make the logo bigger."

The human decides: what actually feels right. Taste doesn't ship from a prompt.
06 · Search & Visibility

The SEO Guru

Reads algorithm updates the way other people read gossip columns. Writes meta descriptions with a poet's care and an accountant's discipline.

The human decides: that everything is written for people first, crawlers second. No exceptions, not even good ones.
Abhay Kumar, founder of ProductGurus
The human

Abhay Kumar

Founder · Human-in-Charge

Six-plus years across retail tech and SaaS, working the seam between business analysis and product development — eliciting requirements, sizing markets, writing specs, and shipping what they describe. Every product in this portfolio started with him being annoyed at something broken.

The gurus advise; Abhay decides. He runs the discovery, owns the judgment calls, does the editing — and is the only member of the team who can legally sign anything.

The fine print — in large type, on purpose

Everything this studio ships is AI-accelerated and human-verified. The gurus draft, analyze, and build; the human interrogates, edits, and approves. When something goes out with our name on it, a person stood behind it — read it, tested it, and was willing to be wrong about it in public. That's the whole model. No mystique, no "proprietary AI magic." Just good tools, held accountable.
